In this sequel to The Winter Calf, Charles Funkhauser rushes to Maple Gap when he reads that Iris Littleton has nearly drowned in a flood - and that a boy who may been his son is lost.
The Wasted Grave changed greatly from what I had originally intended. Midway through writing the sequel, I realized that I had two two separate novels - one occurring just after Elias' disappearance and a second occurring several years after the conclusion of The Winter Calf. I am still drafting this third novel, which involves Jerome meeting his grandfather, and hope to complete it by early Autumn.
